This is a pair of brass colored pewter medallions. The one on the left has a thin plastic plate inserted into the medallion 'pocket'. The plastic is black over white laminated acrylic (aka "lamacoid") which was laser engraved. The medallion on the right was "diamond-drag" engraved by non-rotating diamond tipped tool.
